Hannah’s Catering & Bakery, on 239 West
Street in Litchfield, Connecticut has been serving the
Litchfield County area since 1989. We started out as a bakery
and popular lunch spot in Torrington, and soon expanded our
catering services and bakery to serve the needs of our
ever-changing clientele.
I am Margaret Jacobs, the owner, and I have had the
opportunity of serving some of the finest foods for many
wonderful affairs. After graduating from the Culinary Institute
of America, I eventually decided to open my own business. Here
at Hannah’s I have enjoyed catering countless events, such as
weddings, cocktail parties, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties,
community events, fund-raisers, memorial services, and dinner
parties for some truly memorable clients.
So who is Hannah? I named my business after my
great-grandmother, who was an Irish immigrant and an amazing
cook. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of the
wonderful summers spent at her home in
New York City. It was her passion for food that inspired my own
fascination with the culinary arts. Hannah’s influence drove me
to pursue a career as a professional chef, and after thirty
years in the business, I still love what I do.
After nearly twenty years in
Torrington,
Hannah’s has relocated to 239 West Street in Litchfield. We hope you will all
come visit us at our new location!
Our store showcases our delicious selection of
fresh baked goods, from cookies and pastries to pies and cakes.
As always, cakes and other bakery items can be custom created to
your specifications with advance notice. Catered items, such as
office luncheons or family dinners, will be ready for pick-up or
delivery at your convenience. Menus and catering ideas are
available online and in-store to help you plan any event, and
personal appointments are always available to discuss your
special affair.
